Sèvres Cupid Louis XVI Clock

Clock forming a garnish accompanied by its pair of bronze candlesticks. Louis XVI style, Sèvres blue color enhanced with gold leaf decorations. Resting on a pedestal, the mount which houses the clockwork mechanism is in the shape of a vase whose handles are formed by laurel wreaths, this vase is itself surmounted by a seated cupid. The gilded bronze torches with four light arms taking up the same characteristics as the clock, they are supported on a circular base forming a fluted column. The King's blue is supported by very fine gold enhancements. Each element bears the mark of the Sèvres factory, two intertwined Ls accompanied by a date letter corresponding to a manufacture from the beginning of the 19th century as well as the painter's initials. The gilding is perfectly well preserved like the whole which presents neither lack nor restoration!
