A court sword with a silver hilt, Louis XV - Louis XVI period, 18th century. The hilt is made of chased and openwork silver, with hallmarks on the collar above the shell guard and the pommel. The pommel features an allegory of the navy, with knots at the hilt from which the quillon emerges in a teardrop shape. The knuckle arch and pommel are hallmarked. The knot has a central allegorical decoration on a matte background beneath an open crown. The symmetrical shell guard has a double bridge following the knot at the hilt. The grip features alternating triple silver filigree and a bishop's cap. The Solingen blade has two triangular sections, is straight, engraved, gilt, and blued on the first third. Length: 101 cm.
