Tuscan urn-shaped chest from the first half of the 20th century. A curved furniture finely carved from walnut, adorned with gilded highlights and a noble coat of arms, of exceptional quality. The chest features a front drop-leaf (see photo) offering a generously sized compartment, complete with a working key. The wooden top is ideal for displaying important sculptures or large ceramic vases. The usable surface measures 46.5 x 90.5 cm.
The chest is supported by four large, solid carved lion's paws. This chest has a fabulous design, ideal for a large living room or study, or for antique dealers and interior decorators. The drop-leaf lock was replaced during restoration in the 20th century. It has a beautiful patina and is in good condition.
