"tophams" Office Trunk Of An American Officer Stationed At Camp d'Ils-sur-tille Ww1
Artist: Thophams
In excellent condition, a military trunk by "Tophams" Washington DC, 1917, contract 1025. A luxury trunk belonging to a well-to-do officer. This officer was likely stationed at Camp Ils-sur-Tille and later at the creation of Camp William, which would cover 250 hectares with its own railway station for all the US equipment that would supply the front. The photo in the frame depicts the American officer with French officers, taken at Ils-sur-Tille. The trunk has been cleaned and is in superb condition. Of all the documents that were there, only the photo remains. The frame and the photo are included in the lot. The flag is not. Weight: 36 kg. Collection from my home. Personal collection.
