Dagger With Twisted Handle, Renaissance Style, 16th Century - Circa 1850
Dagger with a twisted bronze hilt, in two sections separated by a central ring. Short, straight guard, also twisted, with symmetrical quillons in rosettes. Lobed discoid pommel. Narrow, double-edged blade, designed for thrusting, with decorative acid-etched central engraving (plant motifs and coats of arms). Minor oxidation - good condition. 19th-century work in the 16th-century style.
