Sumptuous pair of Renaissance-style state armchairs in solid walnut. This beautiful pair of chairs rests on turned baluster legs, joined by an H-shaped baluster stretcher. The armrests have scrolled ends adorned with stylized animal heads. The backrest is topped with a pediment depicting a grotesque face. Our armchairs have been recently and completely reupholstered using traditional methods, giving them exceptional seating comfort. The upholstery is a beautiful velvet in shades of lilac with elegant nailhead trim. A very fine piece of craftsmanship from the second half of the 19th century.
