Louis XIII Period Rack And Pinion Armchair
Walnut wood rack and pinion armchair, resting on 4 legs. The front legs, as well as the belt crosspiece and the spacer, are made of turned wood; the rear legs, of square section, are offset towards the rear to ensure good stability once the backrest is reclined.
The backrest, mounted on lower hinges, tilts and locks thanks to the racks fixed to the armrests, allowing the inclination of the backrest to be changed. Inside these same armrests, a steel rod is pulled and thus allows a tablet to be placed.
Very good condition of woodwork, very beautifully made upholstery redone very recently.
