Bronze sculpture depicting a greyhound with a hare. One of the great sculptures by Theodore Gechter. Paris 1796-1844. The bronze has a beautiful brown patina. It is signed on the base "Th. Gechter." A date is inscribed below, 1843 or 1844? Not easy to decipher. He exhibited at the Paris Salon from 1827 to 1844. Animal sculptor and friend of Barye. Good condition. Dimensions: Length 30 cm, Height 23.5 cm, Width 13 cm.
