"Boomerang Desk, Jules Wabbes"
Jules Wabbes (1919-1974), Boomerang executive desk with two blackened wood drawers, assembled with dovetail joints and individually embedded in a steel slat structure. Top made of solid wenge (African Rosewood) slats assembled on edge, guaranteeing excellent dimensional stability while preserving the look and structure of solid wood. Universal Furniture Edition, circa 1960. Model presented at the 11th Milan Triennale in 1957. The piece has been restored by our conservator. Minor signs of normal wear on the steel structure, slight scratch on the top. Max H 76 cm x W 196 cm x D 92 cm, top thickness 4 cm. Each drawer: H 72.5 cm x W 54 cm x D 76 cm. Drawers: D 73 cm x H 4 cm (2 drawers) x H 12 cm (2 drawers) x H 15 cm (2 drawers) x H 25 cm (1 drawer). Minor signs of normal wear on the steel structure, a small scratch on the top (see photos).
