Amber Cigarette Holder With Meerschaum Carving, Pug Dogs, Case, 19th Century
A carved amber and meerschaum cigarette holder decorated with three small dogs (pugs) with sulfide eyes and metal collars, in its original case inscribed "Echt Meerschaum - Garantirt - Echt Bernstein" (= genuine meerschaum and amber), of German or Austrian origin, dating from the 19th century. This cigarette holder is in good overall condition. Very fine quality. Please note: one of the dogs' eyes is missing a sulfide glass piece, there is a small imperfection on the case (a small section on the front is detached), the case shows some wear, light soiling, scratches, and signs of age, see photos. Diameter: 1.6 cm / cigarette hole 1.2 cm. Dimensions: case 11 cm x 4.5 cm / thickness 3 cm. Height: to the dogs 3.5 cm. Length: 9.5 cm. Reference: E60 1069.
