Tony Van Goolen (1924-1985) was a Belgian painter, draftsman, sculptor, and ceramicist. He studied under his father, the sculptor Joseph Gérard Van Goolen, and later under Léon Devos at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels. In his father's studio, he met Henri Wolvens, Louis Thévenet, Edgard Tytgat, and Jean Laudy. He was awarded the second prize in the Prix de Rome in 1947. His work is associated with Expressionism. He was a professor at the Brussels Academy from 1958 to 1985. Listed in the Bénézit, Arto, and Piron art dictionaries. His work is also listed on Artprice, Artnet, Akoun, etc.
