Meissen Porcelain Pastoral Figure Group Shepherd And Shepherdess, 19th Century

A Meissen porcelain pastoral figure group of a shepherd and shepherdess, 19th century, Modelled after Johann Joachim Kändler as a shepherd and his companions seated beneath trees, he holds a garland of flowers over her head, there is a recumbent sheep beside them and a large flower-filled pierced basket on a tree stump behind them.
Maker’s Marks: Underglaze blue crossed swords, incised “485”, impressed “101”, painter’s mark in red.

Height: 24 cm (9.5 in)
Width: 25 cm (9.8 in)
Depth: 17.5 cm (6.9 in)
Condition: Good for age and type. Minor losses and repairs to leaves on the trees. The blade of the pike has been repaired. One handle of the basket has been restored.
