A good quality pair of Georgian Regency style figured mahogany whatnot tables, circa 1910, in excellent original condition and ideal for use as bedside or lamp tables. Each table features a mahogany cross banded top with a molded edge, raised on four finely turned column supports surmounted by elegant finials. Below is a second tier, echoing the same attractive cross banded detail as the top. Beneath this sits a single mahogany-lined drawer, retaining the original Regency style brass knob handles. The drawers run smoothly and close flush with the frame. The whatnot tables stand on finely turned legs terminating in their original brass castors. They display a rich brown mahogany color with a lovely depth of tone and patination. Well constructed, solid in joint and ready for immediate use, these versatile tables would make excellent bedsides, nightstands or lamp tables and would grace any traditional or contemporary interior.
