Sculpture Statue Prampram Ghana Togo.
A very rare Pram-Pram statue sculpture from Ghana. The body is highly stylized, minimalist, almost abstract, and elongated, with tapered limbs and a spherical head. The eyes, ears, mouth, navel, and chest are represented by holes. It has a beautiful, dark, rich patina. Height 88 cm, base included.
The Pram-Pram are a very small ethnic group, and there is virtually no documentation about them. Their works bear a slight resemblance to those of their neighbors in Togo, the Moba. This is a very rare opportunity!
