Artist: Frizon à Paris
An 18th-century Regency-style cartel clock in brown tortoiseshell with impeccable marquetry. The lower section features a gilt and chased bronze mount depicting a rooster with outstretched wings amidst scrolling foliage. It is surmounted by a dome and the trumpet of fame. The movement is signed "Frizon à Paris" Antoine, rue des Petits Champs, 1703-1748. Height: 0.88 m, Width: 0.38 m, Depth: 0.16 m
