Saint Spirit Brooch, Norman, Rhine Stone And Silver, 19th Century
This large antique Norman Holy Spirit pendant, converted into a brooch, is made of silver, in two articulated sections, set with numerous colorless rhinestones on foil and embellished with multicolored crystals.
The upper section depicts a ribbon knot surrounded by branches, centered on a bezel of colorless rhinestones.
The dove suspended from the brooch features the same design.
The brooch mechanism dates from the early 20th century.
An unidentifiable partial hallmark is present on the back of one branch of the knot.
Silver tested with a touchstone.
