Solid walnut box with a locking mechanism, originally from Auvergne. Beautiful patina from use, decorated on four sides.
18th or early 19th century.
It should be noted that a longhorn beetle has lived in this box, leaving some marks.
A few holes have been filled (see underside); two small round wheels of the system have been restored.
