An unusual vase made using the Totai Shippo technique, a variation of cloisonné. In this case, the cellular glaze covers a porcelain vessel rather than a metal one. The decoration features vegetal and geometric motifs.

Japan, Meiji period (1868-1912). The signature is visible on the base and lid.

Height 30.5 cm, diameter 13.5 cm.

Good condition, minimal glaze loss. The lid does not fit the vase perfectly, but the identical decoration indicates that the vase and lid form a set.
