Saint Clement Earthenware Holy Water Font
Saint-Clément Faience Holy Water Font - Early 19th Century. This font is characteristic of Saint-Clément, featuring a wide basin attached to the back panel along its entire width, a nipple-shaped basin, molded at the top and bottom, and a smooth central section without vertical fluting. The titulus is tilted towards Christ's left hand; in Lunéville, it is tilted towards his right. See photos in the reference book. The polychrome decoration is in perfect condition. Restored: There is one tiny chip above the right hand, and the upper rim of the basin has been restored over an 8 cm area. Height 20.8 cm
