Saint Clement Earthenware Holy Water Font
Saint-Clément Faience Holy Water Font - Early 19th Century. This font is characteristic of Saint-Clément, featuring a wide bowl attached to the back panel along its entire width, a nipple-shaped bowl, molded at the top and bottom, and a smooth middle section without vertical fluting. The titulus is tilted towards Christ's left hand; for the Lunéville version, it is tilted towards his right. See photos in the reference book. In good condition, but restored. No cracks or chips. Restored around the rim and repainted (all the green color around the back panel). A few small chips in the glaze on the flowers of the bowl and one on its edge. Height 21.2 cm
