Low bookcase/glass-fronted sideboard – 19th century. A 19th-century French low bookcase or glass-fronted sideboard of fine quality, in the Louis XV/Transition style. The piece is veneered with chevron marquetry on the uprights and panels. It opens with two glass doors, revealing an interior with wooden shelves, ideal for books or collectibles. The front features attractive scalloped edges, highlighted by elegant symmetry. It rests on cabriole legs and is topped with an antique, well-matched red marble top with white veining. A decorative and functional piece, both elegant and easy to integrate into a classic or contemporary interior. Condition: very good overall condition, beautiful patina.
