Large Clock
Artist: Bouron & Dalbergue à Paris / Richard Et Gve (1897)
A very large and beautiful Louis XVI style gilt bronze mantel clock, dating from the late 19th century. Standing 48 cm tall, it bears the signature "Bouron & Dalbergue à Paris" on its dial. Entirely crafted in gilt bronze, it features a dial framed by a mascaron and a brazier. The sides are adorned with vases on pedestals and laurel wreaths. The base, with its five elegant feet, is surmounted by a ribbon and a projecting rim. The case and movement are original; the pendulum, the dial bezel, and the bell all bear the same number. The bronze is the work of the renowned founder Richard et Gve (circa 1897), who added his initials "RG" as well as an anchor, which is also found on the enamel back, the glass bezel, and the movement Which proves that the ensemble was born together. The clock is in perfect working order and strikes beautifully.
