"Geometric Abstraction", Abstract and geometric art; see Art Deco.
Dimensions with frame: 41.5 × 36.5 cm. Original frame with fabric mat.
Biography: Painter, trained at the Academy of Molenbeek-Saint-Jean. Began in a neo-expressionist figurative style (portraits, figures) and evolved towards more geometric landscapes, sometimes snow-capped mountains and stylized trees (in an Art Deco style), as well as futuristic and cosmic cityscapes. Due to his penchant for synthesis, some works occasionally lean towards geometric abstraction. The music of Bach often plays a role in the construction and structure of his compositions. Member of the "L'Ebauche" circle (1952–1966) and, from 1960, of the "Jecta" circle.
