Straight double-edged blade with a flat edge, with a fuller in the first third, engraved with ‘por la patria y por el rey’, meaning ‘for the homeland and for the king’ on one side and ‘enrique coee en soliny engen alemain’ for ‘made by Enrique in Solingen, Germany’, the signature of the blacksmith Enrique Coel (Heinrich Koel).
Asymmetrical bivavalve shell chiselled with lines.
Guard with a secondary branch.
Pommel with a long tail and rivet button.
Ferrule covered with sheepskin, with five flutes.
