Set Of Twelve Paris Porcelain Dessert Plates, Maison Tinet.
An elegant set of twelve Paris porcelain dessert plates, produced by Maison Tinet, a Parisian decorator active in the first half of the 19th century, notably established on the rue du Bac, as attested by historical sources and recent research on Paris porcelain. These small plates (17 cm in diameter) are dessert or entremets plates, intended for the refined tableware of the Parisian bourgeoisie during the Restoration and the July Monarchy. They feature a finely nuanced almond green background, highlighted by a gold rim and a scalloped edge enhanced with gold, typical of high-quality Parisian production of this period. The center of each plate is adorned with a unique, hand-painted polychrome floral bouquet, combining roses, ranunculus, and wildflowers, rendered with great finesse in a naturalistic style characteristic of the first third of the 19th century. The reverse bears the signature “TINET” in red, a well-known and documented mark of the house, corresponding to decorations produced in Paris on white porcelain, according to a manufacturing method emblematic of Parisian porcelain decorated in Paris. The set is distinguished by: the quality of the clay, the freshness and subtlety of the palette, the delicacy of the floral design, and the remarkable homogeneity of the suite, each decoration being individualized while maintaining perfect overall coherence. Condition: Very good overall condition. No cracks or restorations. Gilding well preserved. Slight traces of use or micro-wear to the gilding may be observed, consistent with the age and use of a 19th-century dessert service. Dimensions: Diameter: 17 cm
