Large Porcelain Dish From Canton, China.

Very large Canton porcelain platter, China, 19th century. A beautiful platter in excellent original condition, with no restoration, and of considerable size (41 cm in diameter). The exquisite decoration includes three scenes with figures set within reserves. The high quality of the decoration for a platter of this period suggests it was a commissioned piece from the Qing Dynasty. The delicate floral motifs, also of very high quality and adorned with birds, are particularly noteworthy. A rare collector's item of this exceptional size and a truly magnificent decorative piece.
