Pair of "Scissor-style" lorgnettes in solid silver and engraved mother-of-pearl, dating from the First Empire period. Hallmarked with a small guarantee mark (1798-1809). Dating from the very beginning of the 19th century, the mother-of-pearl is carved, yet it bears the initials JB beneath a royal or imperial crown (fanciful?). A very beautiful display and collector's item. Height open: 21.7 cm - Closed: 12 cm
