The Mountain, a rare and emblematic lithograph by Henri Rivière, illustrates his work on landscape at the end of the 19th century. This work reflects his explorations inspired by Japonisme and by a careful, almost scientific observation of nature, where the mountain is treated as a geological form structured by successive planes and flat areas of color.
Very good overall condition. The image is in perfect condition and the colors are remarkably fresh. There is a small spot in the sky, visible in the photographs and also present in them. The margins are not torn but show some soiling along the edges.
