Oil on walnut panel depicting Christ being martyred and mocked by soldiers and executioners before his crucifixion. Pilate or Caiaphas observes the scene in the background on the right. The painting has some losses and wood-boring insect holes. It is likely Spanish or Neapolitan and dates from the first half of the 17th century. It is framed in a molded and blackened wooden frame; without it, it measures 30.6 x 23.7 cm.
