It is framed in a modern gilded frame and measures 13.7x19.7 cm without it. Henriette Gudin (1825-1892) is the daughter of Théodore Gudin, a renowned marine painter in the first part of the 19th century. Henriette was her father's pupil and specialized in the depiction of marine scenes.
