Empire Period Clock With Its Mahogany Wood Case.
An Empire period clock with a wire-driven movement and a case veneered in Cuban mahogany with a French polish finish. The large dial is encircled by a thick gilt bronze ring and is silvered. The wire-driven movement is in working order. Wire-driven movements became increasingly rare around 1830.
