Mahogany Side Table/cabaret Table, Empire Period, Napoleon I (emperor)
A mahogany veneered tripod pedestal table mounted on an oak base and topped with a Belgian black marble slab in the style of cabaret tables. The table's apron is also mahogany veneered and encircled with a gilt bronze band. The uprights are adorned with mercury-gilt bronze mounts depicting Janus. The piece is mounted on casters. First Empire period. Overall condition is satisfactory, with signs of wear.
