Wrought Iron Door Knocker In A Snake Form - 17th Century
Mounted on a painted wooden base, this door knocker consists of a hammer, a backplate, and its nail, secured by a screw-fitting system.
The hammer, made of wrought iron, depicts a snake, an emblematic motif of Spanish production, particularly popular from the 16th to the 18th century. The body of the animal is finely decorated with scales.
The object is in very good condition; a slight surface rust is present.
