François Frédéric Lemot (1771-1827), Henry IV on horseback, 925/00 silver sculpture, gross weight 4222 grams, London hallmark, then French hallmark, 19th century. Our silver sculpture is a reduction of the equestrian statue erected on the Pont-Neuf at the request of Louis-Philippe in 1818, after François Frédéric Lemot (1771-1827), and represents the first Bourbon king, crowned with laurel and holding a scepter in his right hand. Upon the return of the Bourbons, he was chosen to create a new bronze equestrian statue of King Henry IV, which he delivered on August 14, 1818, and which was inaugurated on the 25th on the Pont-Neuf.
