The watch is equipped with a rare Duplex escapement with seconds in the center, the hand in the center beats half-second and the small at hours six per quarter second.
This type of movement is called Diablotine which means a rare and fascinating horological complication that allows to instantly and accurately visualize fractions of a second, with a needle that "jumps" from one notch to another like lightning.

White enamel dial with Roman numerals, original hands.
