Louis XVI Style Console Table In Painted Wood.
A rectangular Louis XVI style console table in painted wood. It is decorated with interlacing patterns, floral motifs, waterleaf friezes, and rows of pearls. It rests on a tapered, fluted base terminating in an acanthus leaf. The top is made of mottled gray Caunes marble (Caunes-Minervois, Aude, France). Small in size, in good condition, with additions to the interior corners of the legs. Provincial work from the south of France, 19th century.
