"Early 18th Century Amaranth Veneer Chest Of Drawers"
Rare small "jumping" chest of drawers with curved front and sides in veneered wood: Amaranth arranged in frieze. It opens with three overlapping drawers on two rows. The drawers are separated by a crosspiece decorated with a brass flute. The rounded uprights centered with a brass flute end with a cambered foot. Beautiful bronze ornamentation such as: Pull knobs with rosettes, keyholes, apron and sabots. The top in red Rance marble is molded with a corbin beak. (small old restoration on a corner, see photo) Restorations of use and maintenance for this small chest of drawers remained in very good condition of conservation with its locks, its bronzes and its marble. Regency period, early 18th century.
