Emile Boulard is a French painter renowned for his landscapes of the Oise region. He was the second son of Auguste Boulard, an influential painter.
Boulard studied with the sons of the Lyon painter Bail, and made his debut at the Salon of 1885.
He exhibited regularly until 1894, and then, from 1896 onwards, he presented his works at the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts, where he was a member.
Appointed a Knight of the Legion of Honor, he left a lasting mark on the French landscape with visions imbued with serenity and gentleness. He died at his home in Valmondois in 1943.
