Jean PASTORE was a student in the studio of Georges LAGARRIGUE, Provençal painter Prix de Rome.
Medalist of the General Council of Bouches du Rhône at 15, he received numerous awards in group exhibitions. Figurative painter, lover of the Camargue, he is the painter of cavalcades, but also of the old port of Marseille or the villages of Provence.
Jean PASTORE knew how to find his mark, his writing and an expression comparable to no other which make him one of the singers of Provence. He is undeniably in the tradition of the Provençal School, as a witness of his time.
