At a very young age, while a middle school student, Georges Andrique began drawing. He then received guidance from the English painter Abel Prior, who was based in Calais, before perfecting his art by taking classes at the city's Academy of Drawing.
In 1927, he received an honorable mention at the Salon des Artistes Français in Paris, in which he participated for 30 years.
Highly prolific, he produced countless paintings depicting landscapes in the Calais region, as well as the Côte d'Azur, where he loved to spend his vacations.
The French Railway Company called upon his talent to create several posters that adorned train stations in major French cities. Much of his work was destroyed in 1940 as he fled his burning house on Avenue Wilson.
