Solid Silver Box, Ottoman Empire, 19th Century
A very beautiful box, likely a hammam or jewelry box, oval in shape, it closes with a hinged lid and features a floral finial and two shaped rings.
The silver decoration is pushed back silver and chased with floral stems enlivened by birds.
A large medallion with a rosette adorns the upper part of the lid.
the front, the lock is flanked by two applied flowers in relief (one is missing).
An Arabic hallmark is present on the base. Silver assay marks are present.
Some scratches.
