David Ossipovitch Widhopff (1867-1933), Portrait Of Woman, Drawing, 1906
Pupil of Tony Robert-Fleury at the Académie Julian, he then traveled to Brazil before settling permanently in Paris in the Montmartre district.
As a draftsman and caricaturist, he collaborates with L'Assiette au beurre or Cocorico and follows in a vein similar to those of Forain or Steinlen.
He is also the author of portraits, still life and landscapes.
A drawing by him is kept at the Cabinet des Arts Graphiques of the Louvre Museum, a pastel in the municipal museum of La Roche-sur-Yon and several works by him are in the collections of the Musée des beaux-arts de Limoges.
