Elegant Female Bust in Silvered and Gilt Bronze. This superb sculpture depicts a highly elegant female bust, crafted in bronze with a double patina: the face and bust are finely chiseled silvered bronze, enhanced by a richly decorated gilt bronze bodice and ornaments. The figure, with its neoclassical hairstyle and delicately sculpted jewelry, is distinguished by the refinement of its modeling and the gentleness of its expression, gracefully turned to the left. The work rests on an architectural base of veined green marble, itself set upon a black plinth, resting on a gilt bronze plinth, lending the whole a remarkable sculptural and decorative presence. A work of high quality, characteristic of 19th-century European decorative sculpture, blending neoclassical influences with historicist taste. In very good condition, with a harmonious and well-preserved patina. A refined decorative piece, ideal for a classic interior, a cabinet of curiosities, or an art collection.
