Pair Of Louis XVI Period Armchairs In Natural Waxed Wood, Medallion Back, 18th Century
A very beautiful pair of Louis XVI period armchairs in natural waxed wood. Each seat rests on four tapered, fluted, and reeded legs. Each seat rail is grooved and adorned with a pretty, flattened bow on its front rail. The armrests are grooved, as are the supports. The medallion-shaped backs are also topped with a bow. The upholstery is recent, and the seats are extremely comfortable and firm. The high-quality fabric features floral motifs, flower baskets, and Louis XVI bows, all on a pale yellow background. The frames are solid and stable, with reinforcements added under the seat rails. Minor repairs have been made to the backs (see photos). Please contact us for shipping costs.
