A lovely oval framed medallion, gilt bronze, with its original gilding, depicting a young man wearing a typical Flemish hat and holding a tankard in his right hand. The background is pitted, the sculpture is very fine, and the movement is well-executed. The oval frame, made of blackened wood, may be original, but it has been cracked and repaired. 17th century, Flanders.
