"Memento Pendant, Gold Cross With Garnets And Diamonds, Napoleon III"
This exquisite sentimental pendant in yellow gold is in the form of a stylized cross pattée and contains a memento of woven hair. The arms are set with four lanceolate hessonite garnet cabochons centered on a round cabochon and separated by four yellow gold motifs, each set with three rose-cut diamonds. The back, which supports the prongs, is solid yellow gold and contains in its center the tiny round compartment holding a very fine woven hair under crystal.
Unmarked, gold tested to 18 carats with a touchstone.
