Crystal And Vermeil Box, Ducal Crown Of Napoleon III
This beautiful oval hinged pillbox is made of crystal engraved with twisted ribs. Its cabochon crystal lid is adorned with an engraved ducal crown.
The mount is vermeil (gilt silver), the fixed part worked in guilloché and the hinged part decorated with a garland of flowers sculpted in relief with engraved details.
Boar's head hallmark on both parts of the hinge.
A refined object, substantial in weight, of very high quality, made for a Duchess!
