19th Century Leather Box Candleholder
Particular wooden box candle holder covered in fire-branded leather, with bronze hinges. The box features floral and geometric decorations that create boxes within which zoomorphic images are depicted such as two intertwining peacocks (on the front and back), a snake and an eagle (on the sides of the object). There are slight defects and wear at the foot of the candle holder. The object is attributable to Venetian manufacture, in neo-Renaissance style, from the 19th century.
