Juliette Rousseff (1943-2025), Belgian painter and tapestry weaver. Studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Liège. In 1969, she founded the Tarmac group with six young artists from Liège: Michel Boulanger, Dany Darnal, Jacques Lizène, Jacques Louis Nyst, Juliette Rousseff, and Guy Vandeloise (who would become her husband). She exhibited regularly in Belgium and several other European countries. Bronze medal at the Ostend European Painting Prize in 1984. She practiced contemporary tapestry and became a tapestry instructor (evening classes) at the Liège Academy of Fine Arts in the 1990s; representative of the French community (textile arts) at the first Francophonie Games (1989, Morocco). "In her embroidered and pictorial work, Juliette always sought to reveal the other side of reality, the secret hidden behind things as well as behind people" (Isabelle Neuray, Coordinator, Province of Liège Foundation for Art and Culture).
