A PAIR OF EMPIRE PERIOD CHANDELIERS "CLAUDE GALLE MODEL" IN CHISELED AND GILT BRONZE (very fine original mercury gilding) DECORATED WITH THREE WOMEN'S HEADS AT THE TOP OF THE STEMS AND BAREFEET AT THE BOTTOM. Claude Galle delivered two identical pairs of candlesticks to the Palace of Fontainebleau in 1804.
